Belarus, Sweden aimed at developing political dialogue

MOSCOW, 19 January (BelTA) – Belarus and Sweden are aimed at developing political dialogue, the press service of the Belarusian embassy in Russia told BelTA following today’s meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Igor Petrishenko and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Sweden to Russia Peter Ericson in Moscow on 19 January.

“The parties exchanged opinions on the progress made in bilateral relations and priority tasks for the development of the Belarusian-Swedish relations at the present-day level. Special attention was attached to the expansion of trade and economic cooperation, the most promising areas of investment cooperation and the development of the political dialogue,” the press service said.

Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on 14 January 1992.
