Belarus’ state awards bestowed on 120 people

MINSK, 5 September (BelTA) – State awards have been conferred upon 120 people from all walks of life in recognition of many years of dedicated work, high professionalism and exceptional performance of their duties, courage and bravery in difficult situations, a great personal contribution to the manufacturing industry, agriculture and construction, significant achievements in trade, social security, education, culture, art and sport. The decree on conferring the state awards was signed by Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The Order for Personal Courage was conferred upon Head of the Minsk Flying Club of the Volunteer Society for Cooperation with the Army, Aviation, and Navy Nikolai Mochansky.

The Order of Honor was bestowed upon Director of the Ostromechevo company Oleg Burak, Director of the Vesta company Reiman Veniaminov, Director of Gymnasium No. 8 of Vitebsk Raisa Grabovskaya, Head of the Gigant agricultural enterprise Mikhail Levakov, Director of the Novyye Goryany company Vissarion Nam and Director of the Krinichnaya Experimental Base Nikolai Rubakha.

The Order of Francysk Skaryna was bestowed upon Chair of the Vitebsk branch of the Union of Writers of Belarus Tamara Gusachenko.

A big group of people will receive medals for excellent military service and public order protection, labor achievements, as well as the medals of Francysk Skaryna.

Chief enlistment officer of Smorgon District, Lieutenant Colonel Leonard Gruzhevsky and student of Minsk Vocational School No.9 Vitaly Titov will receive the Medal “For Saving Life”.

Apart from that, honorary titles were awarded to representatives of culture, science, education, social security, manufacturing industry, agriculture, construction sector, power engineering, law enforcement and sport.
