MINSK, 13 May (BelTA) - Belarus and Sri Lanka have agreed to develop a medium-term cooperation roadmap, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov told the media following talks with Vijitha Herath, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism of Sri Lanka, on 13 May, BelTA has learned.
The foreign ministers of Belarus and Sri Lanka welcomed the signing of several bilateral documents during the visit, including agreements on air transport, education, and healthcare.

“At the same time, we will certainly work on preparing a new, more extensive package of agreements, as well as upcoming meetings and events at a higher and the highest levels, which are also included in the joint agenda,” Maxim Ryzhenkov added. “I would like to say that we have also agreed to develop a roadmap for the development of our bilateral relations for the medium term, which will cover all areas of our cooperation and promising sectors.”
The Belarusian minister of foreign affairs noted that Belarus and Sri Lanka are engaging constructively and providing important support to each other within international organizations. “The minister and I have agreed to continue coordinating our approaches to global issues and supporting each other in all international organizations,” Maxim Ryzhenkov said.
