MINSK, 18 June (BelTA) – Belarusian Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Igor Sekreta met with State Secretary (First Deputy Minister) of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Marek Eštok to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation. The meeting was initiated by the Slovak side and was held in Bratislava on 18 June, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In a friendly atmosphere, the parties discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation, emphasizing the need to intensify economic interaction. They also noted the mutual efforts aimed at ensuring full-fledged diplomatic representation in the capitals of both countries.
The parties also reviewed regional and international security issues, including possible confidence-building measures to help facilitate the settlement of the situation in the region.
