Belarus, Serbia sign roadmap for cooperation

MINSK, 19 February (BelTA) - Belarus and Serbia have signed a roadmap for cooperation. The signing ceremony took place in Belgrade on 19 February, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in Serbia.

The document was signed following the eighth meeting of the intergovernmental Belarusian-Serbian commission for trade and economic cooperation, the seventh meeting of the business council on cooperation between Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Belarus and Serbia, and the business matchmaking event on 19 February.

The Belarusian delegation held meetings with Serbia Prime Minister Alexander Vucic, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic, Economy Minister Zeljko Sertic and President of the Chamber of Commerce and Marko Cadez.

The meeting of the business council was attended by over 100 representatives of Belarus and Serbia. The attendees discussed the proposals for joint production of buses, tractors, fire engines, and also the setting up of a distribution center for steel products. A ceremony to sign the protocols of the meetings of the intergovernmental commission and the council took place on 19 February.
