Belarus seeks to expand cooperation with China in cinematography

MINSK, 22 July (BelTA) – Belarus would like to scale up cooperation with China in film production, the Telegram channel of the Culture Ministry of Belarus reports following the meeting of Culture Minister Anatoly Markevich and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to China Yuri Senko, which took place on 21 July.

According to the press release, “the Belarusian side is interested in expanding cooperation in cinematography, in promoting domestic films in the Chinese market.” The discussion also covered cooperation between museums and mutual tours of artists in Belarus and China.

The Culture Ministry emphasized that academic contacts with China are of great interest to Belarusian universities of culture.

Belarus and China regularly hold Days of Culture. This year, they will be held online for the first time. The best of Belarusian culture will be aired to more than 4 million viewers in China from 1 July to 1 October.
