Belarus, Russia’s Leningrad Oblast sign cooperation program for 2018-2020

MOSCOW, 23 May (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia’s Leningrad Oblast signed a cooperation program for 2018-2020 on 23 May, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian embassy in Russia.

“Prior to the opening of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum, a meeting of Belarus’ First Vice Premier Vasily Matyushevsky with Leningrad Oblast Governor Alexander Drozdenko and the seventh session of the joint commission of cooperation development between Belarus and Leningrad Oblast took place on 23 May. The parties signed the corresponding protocol and the program of trade, economic, social nd humanitarian cooperation between the government of Belarus and the government of Leningrad Oblast for 2018-2020,” the press service said.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Igor Petrishenko met with Leningrad Oblast Vice Governor Oleg Malashchenko. “The sides discussed the prospects for supplying the Russian region with Belarusian passenger, truck and special vehicles,” the press service added.
