MOSCOW, 21 November (BelTA) – The development of the common science and technology space of the Union State will be the theme of the 51^st meeting of the Union State PA permanent seminar on the Union State construction matters. The event will be held in Minsk on 28-29 November, BelTA learned from the PA press service.

The meeting will focus on the legal fundamentals of forming the common science and technology space of Belarus and Russia and the main instruments for implementing the social and economic policy of the Union State. The seminar participants will discuss the problems of strategic management of innovations and integration directions for national and regional innovation systems of Belarus and Russia, study foreign practices in organizing and implementing innovative projects. It is also planned to discuss cooperation in the field of commercialization of the results of scientific research and technology transfer.

The seminar participants will develop a document containing practical recommendations. The document will be submitted to the ministries and departments of the two states and other interested organizers.

The event will be attended by MPs of the Parliamentary Assembly, representatives of the Standing Committee of the Union State, ministries and departments of Belarus and Russia, academies of science and businessmen of the two countries, and also leaders and researchers of the leading research institutes and universities.

A permanent seminar at the Parliamentary Assembly was established at the initiative of the Union State MPs in 2006. Traditionally, the seminar brings together representatives of the scientific community, supporters of the integration of Belarus and Russia, like-minded people in the construction of the Union State. The event considers in detail the cooperation between Belarus and Russia.
