MOSCOW, 9 June (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei met with Speaker of the State Duma of Russia, Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia Sergei Naryshkin in Moscow on 8 June, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian embassy in Russia.

“The parties expressed satisfaction of the level of cooperation between the two states in the international arena and the state of the bilateral inter-parliamentary dialogue. The sides stressed the need to continue cooperation between Belarusian and Russian MPs in international organizations. A number of practical measures were outlined to expand Belarus’ cooperation with interstate associations and international organizations, including BRICS and SCO,” the press service noted.

Vladimir Makei congratulated Sergei Naryshkin on the successful BRICS First Parliamentary Forum which took place in Moscow on 8 June under the auspices of the Federal Assembly of Russia.
