Belarus, Russia discuss cooperation in integration and international organizations

MINSK, 24 March (BelTA) - Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Igor Nazaruk met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Belarus Boris Gryzlov on 24 March, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"The parties discussed topical issues of Belarusian-Russian cooperation, interaction within the framework of integration associations and international organizations. Special consideration was given to the preparations to celebrate the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia," the ministry said.

Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation were established on 25 June 1992. By converting the Permanent Representative Office of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus at the Council of Ministers of the Russian Federation in 1993, Belarus opened its embassy in Moscow.
