MINSK, 26 November (BelTA) – The Energy Ministry of Belarus played host to a plenary session on 24 November to discuss the Belarusian-Russian cooperation in the energy sector, BelTA learned from the press service of the ministry.
The session was led by Belarus’ Energy Minister Viktor Karankevich and First Deputy Energy Minister of Russia Aleksei Teksler. The parties discussed cooperation in gas sector, interstate transfer of electric energy and petrochemistry. These matters were also talked over by the international working groups on cooperation in gas, electric energy and petrochemistry sectors.
The event was held as part of the agreements reached on 14 November at the meeting between Belarus’ Deputy Prime Minister Igor Lyashenko and Deputy Chairman of the Russian government Dmitry Kozak during the working visit of a group of Russian experts.
