Belarus-Russia deeper integration program, list of roadmaps reconciled

Belarus-Russia deeper integration program, list of roadmaps reconciled

MOSCOW, 6 September (BelTA) – The prime ministers of Belarus and Russia reconciled the draft program of action on stepping up integration and a list of roadmaps in Moscow on 6 September, BelTA learned from Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Rumas after negotiations involving delegations of the two countries.

Sergei Rumas said: “Dmitry Medvedev and I have summed up results of the first stage of the great work. We’ve initialed the action program [on stepping up integration] and approved a list of roadmaps. The list includes 31 roadmaps. We will have to do a great deal of work within the next two months in order to prepare a package consisting of the action program, the roadmaps, and several intergovernmental agreements for signing by our presidents.”

The Belarusian head of government thanked Belarusian Economy Minister Dmitry Krutoi and Russian Economy Minister Maksim Oreshkin for the work done to reconcile the necessary documents. “At the same time I would like to tell them not to relax,” Sergei Rumas warned. “The roadmaps represent a much more complicated amount of work taking into account the deadlines and the amount of documents, which will have to be analyzed in order to prepare them properly.”

Sergei Rumas said he was confident that all the necessary documents will be ready before the meeting of the presidents of Belarus and Russia in early December.
