MINSK, 26 June (BelTA) – Belarusian MPs ratified an intergovernmental Belarusian-Russian agreement on readmission, the executive protocol on its implementation at a session on 26 June, BelTA has learned.

The agreement between the governments of the two countries on readmission and the executive protocol on its implementation were signed in Minsk on 15 November 2013. The documents envisage the order of sending bank, accepting and handing over the persons staying on the territory of the signatories in breach of the current rules of entrance and stay for foreigners and stateless persons.

The agreement and the executive protocol also cover persons from third countries and stateless people staying on the territory of Russia and Belarus in violation of the legislations of these states.

The documents also stipulate that the costs related to the readmission of people from third countries and stateless persons staying on the territory of Belarus in violation of its legislation as well as the costs connected to the transit of these persons via the territory of Russia without transit visas will be funded from the national budget (within the limits envisaged for the support of the competent bodies of Belarus responsible for the implementation of the agreement).
