MINSK, 11 June (BelTA) – Regional issues were discussed at the Belarusian-Polish political ministerial consultations in Warsaw on 10 June, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus.
The Belarusian delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Yelena Kupchina. The Polish delegation was headed by Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Katarzyna Pelczynska-Nalecz. The parties discussed a wide range of issues of the bilateral cooperation, including the improvement of the bilateral legal framework, cooperation in international organizations. The main focus was on the issues of economic and cross-border cooperation of the two countries. The officials also talked over the status of the Belarusian minority in Poland and the Polish minority in Belarus.
The Belarusian-Polish intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in education was initialed during the consultations.
