Belarus' PM meets with vice-premier of Qatar

MINSK, 23 February (BelTA) - Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs of Qatar Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan bin Ali Al Thani on 23 February, BelTA has learned.

Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko arrived in Qatar on an official visit on 22 February. The meeting with the deputy prime minister of Qatar was held behind closed doors.

As it was reported earlier, at the invitation of the Qatari side, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko met with members of Qatar’s ruling family and representatives of Qatar’s business - large investors in construction, energy, information and telecommunication technologies. During the informal meeting, the prime minister informed the Qatari side about the development of the Belarusian economy, the country's investment policy, plans to implement major investment projects. The dialogue demonstrated a keen interest of Qatari business in Belarus.
