Belarus PM introduces Vice Premier Dvornik to government members

MINSK, 9 April (BelTA) – Belarus’ Prime Minister Sergei Rumas introduced the newly appointed Deputy Premier Vladimir Dvornik to the government members on 9 April, BelTA has learned.

Vladimir Dvornik’s scope of authority will extend to the Agriculture and Food Ministry, the Forestry Ministry, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, the State Property Committee (land relations), Belpishcheprom food industry concern and Belkoopsosyouz.

“You all know Vladimir Dvornik. He was Gomel Oblast Governor for the past eight years. Before that he had led the exemplary Zarya collective farm in Mozyr District, had been Chairman of the Mozyr District Executive Committee. Under his leadership Gomel Oblast significantly improved all its performance indicators over the eight years; the growth in the agricultural sector was particularly impressive,” Sergei Rumas said. 

The head of government also praised tremendous efforts to make Gomel Oblast and the city of Gomel a more convenient place to live.

Newly appointed Agriculture and Food Minister Anatoly Khotko was introduced to the members of the Presidium of the Council of Ministers.

Sergei Rumas wished Vladimir Dvornik and Anatoly Khotko great successes in their new capacities.
