Belarus PM hosts state awards ceremony to celebrate best of nation

MINSK, 23 December (BelTA) - Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko presented state awards to more than 60 representatives of various professions in a ceremony at the Palace of the Republic in Minsk on 23 December, BelTA has learned.

“Each of you is an example of professionalism, reliability, loyalty to duty, and the ability to take responsibility for the decisions made, for the assigned area of work. You have excelled at what you do. The results that you have achieved are the pride for Belarus,” Roman Golovchenko said during the awards ceremony.

The head of government addressed special words of gratitude to the healthcare workers for their selfless work and professionalism. "Today the whole country says thank you for saving lives every day," the prime minister said.

Among the awardees are also teachers, heads of educational institutions.“It is thanks to your talent that the Belarusian education system has been successfully developing and assimilating new more technologies and innovations into the educational process,” said Roman Golovchenko.

Awards have also been bestowed upon civil servants. The prime minister emphasized that the implementation of large-scale projects and reaching the goals set before the government agencies largely depend on the professionalism of the managerial personnel.

Among the awardees were cultural and art figures, representatives of the sport sector, veterans’ organizations, workers of agricultural and energy industries, transport, communications, construction and tax bodies.

“Our state, young by historical standards, has already established its own labor and cultural traditions. All of you are undoubtedly at the forefront. You are the human capital of Belarus. I am confident that you will not stop at what you have achieved,” said Roman Golovchenko. He thanked the awardees for their conscientious work, professionalism, dedication to duty and leadership.
