Belarus parliament delegation invited to visit India

MINSK, 4 June (BelTA) – The Indian side is looking forward to a visit of the Belarus parliament delegation led by Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko. The relevant information was released during the meeting of the heads of both chambers of the Belarus parliament with India President Pranab Mukherjee on 4 June, BelTA learned from Vitaly Busko, Deputy Chairman of the International Affairs Commission of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus.

According to Vitaly Busko, arranging reciprocal visits of delegations of the two parliaments has been recognized as a good idea. The India President stated they were looking forward to the visit of the Belarusian parliament delegation led by the speaker for the sake of discussing the matters raised during the meeting on 4 June.

The MP also pointed out that the meeting had involved quite a large number of participants. The Belarusian side was represented not only by the heads of both chambers of the parliament but also their deputies and other parliamentarians. According to the source, matters concerning economic, scientific and technical cooperation with concrete projects in individual industries were discussed. Among other things the sides talked over mining machines, the development of new materials for modern vehicles, agribusiness, and interparliamentary cooperation.

Apart from that, the sides acknowledged the presence of good relations, including the establishment of friendship groups in the two parliaments. A mutual agreement on the role of MPs in creating a comfortable legal base for cooperation in all the mentioned spheres was reached, said Vitaly Busko.
