MINSK, 22 April (BelTA) – The Republic of Belarus and the Sultanate of Oman will develop the legal framework and exchange visits of the representatives of business circles. The corresponding protocol was signed after the fourth round of political consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs of the two countries in Minsk, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The sides discussed a number of issues of bilateral cooperation and exchanged opinions regarding issues on the regional and global agenda. “After the consultations the sides signed a protocol which specified the main priorities of enhancing Belarus-Oman cooperation, in particular, the development of the legal framework, exchange of visits of the representatives of business circles, cooperation in education, science and technology, promotion of inter-parliamentary contacts, mutual support in international organizations,” according to the press service.
The Belarusian delegation was led by First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexander Mikhnevich; the delegation of Oman was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Diplomatic Issues Ahmed bin Yousef Al Harthy.
