Belarus, Myanmar discuss expansion of exports

MINSK, 20 December (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Vietnam with concurrent accreditation to Myanmar Vladimir Goshin is in Myanmar on a working visit on 18-20 December, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On 19 December the Belarusian ambassador held a meeting with State Counselor, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar Aung San Suu Kyi. The parties discussed a wide range of political, trade, economic, humanitarian issues and the expansion of the legal framework of bilateral relations, and also steps to intensify bilateral contacts ahead of celebrating the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 2019.

Vladimir Goshin also met with Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation of Myanmar U Ohmn Win, and Minister of Commerce of Myanmar Than Myint. The parties discussed the ways to expand Belarusian exports to Myanmar.
