Belarus, Moscow sign cooperation plan for 2020-2022

MOSCOW, 24 December (BelTA) – Belarus and Moscow signed an action plan to develop cooperation in trade, economy, science, technology, culture, humanitarian affairs, and social sector in 2020-2022. The document was signed by Minsk Mayor Anatoly Sivak and Minister of Moscow City Government, Head of the Foreign Economic and International Relations Department Sergei Cheremin at a meeting of the working group on coordination of cooperation between Moscow and Belarus at the Moscow City Hall on 24 December, BelTA has learned.

At the meeting with Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, Anatoly Sivak noted that the two capitals Minsk and Moscow need a similar plan for development of cooperation. In his opinion, first of all, this document should envisage an exchange of experience to solve urban problems of the two cities, in particular, in transport and construction.

For his part, the mayor of the Russian capital noted that Minsk and Moscow have strong historical and fraternal ties. “There is no area where Minsk and Moscow do not cooperate," he said. Sergei Sobyanin expressed hope that the current visit of the Belarusian delegation to the Russian capital will give another impetus to the development of mutually beneficial cooperation.
