MINSK, 22 October (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Mongolia Stanislav Chepurnoy met with Chief of the Mongolian National Emergency Management Agency Gombojav Ariunbuyan on 22 October, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The parties discussed prospects for further development of Belarus-Mongolia cooperation in emergency prevention and response,” the press service noted.

Belarus and Mongolia have similar approaches to the key matters on the international agenda, oppose the idea of the unipolar world, and advocate interests of small and medium-sized countries. Mongolia was one of the first countries to recognize the sovereignty of the Republic of Belarus in December 1991. The countries established diplomatic relations on 24 January 1992. The Belarusian Embassy in Mongolia opened in 2014.
