CHISINAU, 12 December (BelTA) – The Tourism Department of the Belarusian Sport and Tourism Ministry and the Investment Agency of Moldova develop cooperation in tourism, head of the quality and analytics department of the Belarus National Tourism Agency Evgeny Kovalyov told BelTA.

Director of the Tourism Department of the Belarusian Sport and Tourism Ministry Andrei Molchan and the Director General of the Investment Agency of Moldova Rodica Verbeniuc signed a cooperation protocol on 1 November. The document is aimed at strengthening cooperation in tourism through creating favorable conditions to attract investment in order to support and develop the industry.

“Plans are in place to organize familiarization tours for representatives of travel agencies and the media. This work has already produced the first results,” said Evgeny Kovalyov. At the invitation of the Moldovan Investment Agency in cooperation with the National Association of Tourism Legal Agents of Moldova (ANAT), a delegation from Minsk, including officials, tour operators, journalists and bloggers, has arrived in Chisinau. On 11-14 December, the tour will feature visits to the most important tourist sites of Moldova, familiarization with the country's tourism potential, and a B2B meeting between travel agencies of both countries.

“In 2019 Belarus plans to organize a similar study tour for the media and travel companies of Moldova,” said the representative of the Belarus National Tourism Agency.
