Belarus’ MFA recommends tourists against travel to Egypt

MINSK, 7 November (BelTA) - Belarus’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends the Belarusian citizens to cancel tourist trips to Egypt, reads the communication of the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs posted on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, BelTA has learned.

"In connection with the decisions of some states to suspend flights to the tourist centers of the Arab Republic of Egypt, or to abolish air travel with Egypt, and fly tourists from this country back home, bearing in mind, first and foremost the emerging hype, technical difficulties and possible problems with proper security in the relevant Egyptian airports, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus recommends Belarusian citizens to cancel tourist trips to Egypt (before new notifications are issued),” reads the communication.

The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls attention to the adjusted schedule of flights of the Russian air carriers to Egypt and advises Belarusian nationals to keep in touch with Belarusian travel agencies in tracking Belavia’s decisions on the corresponding flights from Belarus.

At the same time the ministry points to the controlled and safe situation in Egypt, including the capital Cairo, for business and other types of visits.
