Belarus MFA raises concern as Israel refuses entry to more Belarusians

MINSK, 18 July (BelTA) – We continue to seek ways, in cooperation with Israeli partners, to address the situation as more Belarusians are denied entry to Israel, the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said during the Consular Day on its Facebook page, BelTA has learned.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recalled that a visa waiver agreement has been in effect between Belarus and Israel for several years already. However, in 2017 and H1 2018 an increasing number of Belarusian nationals were denied entry to the territory of Israel by Israel’s immigration services.

“Naturally, we are concerned about this situation and we convey this concern to our Israeli partners. A series of consultations at various levels has been held to come to grips with the issue. However, the solution largely depends on our Israeli partners,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
