MINSK, 17 August (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to Indonesia President Joko Widodo as the country celebrates Independence Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“Indonesia's current role in the region is the result of the consistent work of the Indonesian people and leadership on the way to building a strong sovereign state,” the message of greetings reads.
The head of state hailed the atmosphere of trust and mutual understanding that has taken shape between Minsk and Jakarta and became the basis of strong bilateral relations and fruitful interaction at international platforms.
“I am convinced that despite the temporary difficulties caused by the coronavirus pandemic, we can find new opportunities for the dynamic development of cooperation in trade, industry, military and technology, science, education and other sectors for the benefit of our peoples,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.
