MINSK, 31 May (BelTA) – Belarus’ Transport and Communications Minister Aleksei Avramenko and Kazakhstan’s Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Beibut Atamkulov have discussed ways to restore regular flights that were affected by the pandemic, BelTA learned from the press service of the Transport and Communications Ministry.

According to Beibut Atamkulov, instructions have already been given to launch four flights between Minsk and Almaty. Aleksei Avramenko noted that this would balance the mutual passenger traffic. He added that Belarus is ready to ensure the parity in scheduled passenger services between the two countries.

The ministers also discussed cooperation in the field of road haulage. The Belarusian minister suggested increasing the number of Kazakhstan’s permits to / from third countries. He also noted that the transit through Belarus by Kazakhstan’s carriers increased three times.
