MINSK, 11 July (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Kazakhstan Pavel Utyupin and Minister of Culture and Sports Askhat Oralov of Kazakhstan discussed the preparations for the 2nd CIS Games, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties reviewed the topical issues of cooperation between Belarus and Kazakhstan in cultural and humanitarian matters. "The parties highlighted the importance of dialogue in such important areas as sport and culture for strengthening and expanding interstate and human relations between the two countries," the ministry said.
The Ambassador thanked Kazakhstan for supporting the international festival of arts Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk and regular participation of artists from Kazakhstan at this important cultural event.
The parties also compared notes on the participation of Kazakhstan athletes in the 2nd CIS Games due in Belarus from 4 to 14 August.
