MINSK, 12 March (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Kazakhstan Pavel Utyupin has met with Yerkin Tukumov, Director of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy.
The parties reviewed the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation in the information and analytical field, as well as a possibility for Kazakhstan’s partners to hold joint events with the Belarusian Institute of Strategic Research in line with the Memorandum of Understanding dated 18 October 2019.
Pavel Utyupin and Yerkin Tukumov exchanged views on topical issues of the international agenda. The ambassador of Belarus also informed Kazakhstan’s side about the results of the referendum on amendments and additions to the Constitution of Belarus.
The parties noted that in 2022 Belarus and Kazakhstan will mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. The outcomes of the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council held in Nur-Sultan on 24-25 February were also discussed.
