MINSK, 28 March (BelTA) – The customs services of Belarus and Japan have developed a draft intergovernmental agreement on mutual administrative assistance and cooperation, BelTA learned from the State Customs Committee of Belarus.

The document will determine the basic principles and forms of cooperation, mutual assistance between the customs authorities of Belarus and Japan, as well as the order of interaction in sending requests and exchanging information necessary for the identification, investigation and prevention of customs offenses.

“The implementation of this agreement will not only enhance the unification and harmonization of customs procedures but will also have a positive impact on the fulfillment of the tasks facing the customs authorities of the two states,” the State Customs Committee of Belarus said.
