Belarus, Italy review bilateral relations, future cooperation

MINSK, 30 July (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov met with outgoing Chargé d'Affaires of the Italian Republic in Belarus Tomaso Pietro Marchegiani on 30 July, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
 
The parties discussed the current state and prospects of Belarusian-Italian relations and exchanged views on the regional situation and other issues on the international agenda.
 
The minister thanked the Italian diplomat for his work in Belarus and for implementing a number of projects, including humanitarian initiatives. He also expressed the expectation that European countries, including Italy, would take a more active approach to engagement with Belarus.
