MINSK, 5 July (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has sent greetings to Venezuela President Nicolas Maduro as the country celebrates Independence Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“Brotherly Venezuela now has to withstand difficult modern challenges to preserve the chosen course and continue fulfilling the dreams of my good friend Hugo Chavez. I am convinced that Venezuelan people will overcome all obstacles in this activity,” the message of greetings reads.

Alexander Lukashenko noted that Belarus pays much attention to the development of all-round cooperation with Venezuela. “I am convinced that by joint efforts we will manage to deepen political ties, bolster economic interaction, industrial cooperation, implement many projects for the benefit of our states,” the president emphasized.
