MINSK, 26 September (BelTA) – Belarus and India have reached an agreement on closer cooperation to relax the visa requirements, Belarus’ Foreign Affairs Ministry told BelTA following the meeting between Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar and Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei on the sidelines of the UN international events.
“The parties are satisfied with the positive momentum in the Belarus-India relations. They also discussed in detail the prospects for closer partnership in the areas of interest to both states. Belarus and India have reached an agreement on closer collaboration to ease the visa rules,” Belarus’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed.
Vladimir Makei and Subrahmanyam Jaishankar also discussed topical issues on the multilateral agenda and interaction in international organizations. Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei once again invited the head of the Indian government to visit Belarus. The ministers agreed to coordinate the work on political and business contacts between the countries.
