MOSCOW, 18 May (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Igor Petrishenko and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Iceland to Russia Sigridur Berglind Asgeirsdottir discussed the promotion of Belarus-Iceland cooperation in various fields in Moscow on 18 May, BelTA has learned from the press service of the Belarusian embassy in Moscow.
The sides reviewed political, trade, economic and investment cooperation, and the ways of developing the legal framework of bilateral relations, the press service noted.
Belarus and Iceland established diplomatic relations on 25 May 2001. In 2016 Belarus-Iceland trade totaled $39.2 million.
