Belarus, Hungary sign five-year cultural cooperation program

MINSK, 29 September (BelTA) – The Culture Ministry of Belarus and the Ministry of Human Capacities of Hungary signed a five-year program for cultural cooperation, Belarus’ Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alena Kupchyna told media after the 7th session of the Belarusian-Hungarian intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation on 29 September, BelTA has learned.

“Apart from economic matters we have also discussed issues related to cultural cooperation and signed the relevant program. It is a pleasure for me to announce that the Days of Belarusian Culture will take place in Hungary next year,” Alena Kupchyna said.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs added that the five-year cultural cooperation program envisages cooperation between theaters, museums, libraries and other cultural institutions of Belarus and Hungary.

The parties also signed the agreement on cooperation between the Hungarian-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the agreement to set up a reference information center at the basis of the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
