MINSK, 31 August (BelTA) - Since 1 January 2026, Belarus has welcomed 164,682 travelers from 38 countries included in the visa-waiver program. The majority of travelers came from Lithuania, Latvia and Poland, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee of Belarus.
A total of 1,422,851 European residents have visited Belarus since 15 April 2022 when the visa waiver program was launched for Lithuanian and Latvian citizens, alongside Latvian non-citizen status holders, and expanded to Polish citizens on 1 July 2022. Belarus has welcomed 720,436 visitors from Lithuania, 453,273 people from Latvia and 159,301 visitors from Poland. On 19 July 2024 the visa-waiver program was extended to include 35 more countries. A total of 89,841 citizens of these countries have visited Belarus.
The visa-waiver program for citizens of 38 European countries has been extended until 31 December 2026. Detailed information about the visa waiver is available in the special section on the website of the State Border Committee.
