MINSK, 13 April (BelTA) – Belarus has already helped more than 6,700 Belarusians return home, BelTA learned from the Facebook account of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
On 11 and 12 April, Belarusians continued coming home, including individually, using various routes. For example, another 156 people returned from Poland by bus, which was arranged with the support of the Belarusian embassy and consulates in this country. On 11 April, three Belarusian nationals were evacuated from Algeria and Cyprus with Russia’s help. In line with the agreed procedure, the Belarusian Embassy in Russia transported more Belarusian tourists to the Belarusian border from Moscow.
“On 13 April, nine Belarusian citizens flew from Montenegro to Moscow by a charter flight organized with the support of the Belarusian Embassy in Serbia and our Russian partners. Now we are working with the relevant Russian authorities to bring them home from Moscow with the help of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia,” the ministry noted. “The Belavia air carrier also flew 49 our compatriots from Tel Aviv to Minsk on 13 April. The plane also carried nationals of the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Russia, the USA, Ukraine, France, and Czechia who will transit via Belarus on their way home, 174 passengers in total,” the ministry added.
Moreover, the ministry continues trying to solve the most difficult problems with Belarusians stranded in India, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, and Thailand.
