MINSK, 16 November (BelTA) – Minsk plays host to the second meeting of the EU-Belarus Coordination Group, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Belarus’ delegation is led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alena Kupchyna, the delegation of the European union - by Managing Director for Europe and Central Asia in the European External Action Service (EEAS) Thomas Mayr-Harting. The meeting is attended by representatives of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, other government bodies and organizations, and also officials of the EEAS and the European Commission.
“The meting is set to discuss further development of relations between Belarus and the EU, including the participation of Belarus in the EU initiative Eastern Partnership, interaction in the area of mobility, the current status of the sectoral dialogues, ways to intensify cooperation within the framework of the EU technical assistance, and human rights issues,” the ministry informed.
The first meeting of the Belarus-EU Coordination Group of the new-format structured and comprehensive dialogue between Belarus and the European Union was held in Brussels on 6-7 April.
