MINSK, 7 April (BelTA) – Belarus and Egypt are expected to set up parliamentary friendship groups. The matter was discussed at a meeting of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Egypt Sergei Rachkov and Speaker of the House of Representatives of Egypt Ali Abdel Al, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The parties considered ways to intensify inter-parliamentary cooperation. “Agreements were reached to set up friendship groups in the parliaments of the two countries, exchange visits between heads of the legislative bodies of Belarus and Egypt,” the press service said.

The parties also discussed the participation of MPs in strengthening bilateral political, trade, economic, sci-tech and humanitarian cooperation.
