Belarus, Egypt to intensify inter-parliamentary cooperation

MINSK, 14 March (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Egypt Sergei Terentyev met with representatives of the Coordination's Committee of Party's Youth Leaders and Politicians at the Egyptian Parliament - MP of the House of Representatives Tareq al-Khouly and member of the Senate Mahmoud Al-Kot, BelTA learned from the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Egypt.

The parties discussed mechanisms to intensify Belarusian-Egyptian inter-parliamentary cooperation, including visits of parliamentary delegations of the two countries, and exchanged views on the bilateral agenda and international issues.

The parties also welcomed the development of contacts between the Youth Parliament under the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and the Coordination Committee of Young Party Leaders and Politicians under the Egyptian Parliament. They highlighted the importance of further interaction between the youth structures under the legislative bodies of the two countries.
