Belarus-Egypt relations hailed as example of true partnership

MINSK, 1 February (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to Egypt President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The head of state noted that over a short period of time Belarus and Egypt have come a long way in the development of bilateral contacts and cooperation in the international arena. "This attests to the special nature of the Belarusian-Egyptian dialogue, which has become an example of true forward-looking partnership," the message of greetings reads.

The president mentioned the fruitful talks between the two leaders in Minsk and Cairo, which gave an important impetus to the friendly ties and cooperation in new promising areas across various sectors.

"I am convinced that the successful joint work to strengthen the interstate relations for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries will be continued," the Belarusian leader stressed.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished strong health and success in all endeavors to President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, and stability and prosperity to the people of Egypt.
