MINSK, 4 June (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Arab Republic of Egypt Sergei Rachkov met with Egypt’s Minister of Trade and Industry Tarek Kabil on 3 June, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The parties discussed the current issues of the bilateral trade and economic cooperation and reviewed the progress in the implementation of joint projects in industry, science and education.

The preparation for the 5th session of the Belarusian-Egyptian joint trade commission due in the autumn 2018 and the prospects for the establishment of the Belarusian-Egyptian joint business council were also on the agenda.

The parties also talked over the preparation of the free trade agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union and the Arab Republic of Egypt.
