Belarus’ delegation to take part in Hugo Chavez’s funeral  

MINSK, 6 March (BelTA) – Under the instruction of President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, an official delegation of Belarus will go to Caracas to take part in the funeral ceremony of President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Hugo Chavez. The delegation will include Co-Chair of the Belarus-Venezuela High-Level Commission Viktor Sheiman and First Deputy Premier of Belarus, Co-Chair of the Belarus-Venezuela commission for trade and economic cooperation Vladimir Semashko, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian head of state.

The Belarusian President has sent personal messages of condolence to the family of Hugo Chavez, his brother, Governor of Barinas State Adan Chavez, Vice-President Nicolas Maduro and Chairman of the National Assembly of Venezuela Diosdado Cabello.

By the decision of President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, flags will be flown at half-mast at the Presidential Palace and other government buildings all over Belarus for three days.

All TV and radio channels have been recommended not to broadcast entertainment programs.

The Republic of Belarus joined the mourning events that are taking place in a number of countries in connection with the death of the Venezuelan leader.
