Belarus, China to advance cooperation in military education

MINSK, 19 April (BelTA) – Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Xie Xiaoyong in the Defense Ministry. Defense Attache of the Embassy of China in Belarus Li Yong was also present during the meeting, representatives of the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.

The sides discussed the main spheres of Belarus-China military cooperation, determined future ways of invigorating the main avenues of interaction in such fields as joint combat training and military education. The status of Belarus-China relations, which are described as trustful comprehensive strategic partnership and mutually beneficial cooperation, was emphasized.

Viktor Khrenin underlined the importance of further enhancement and development of partnership relations between Belarus and China as a whole. He also noted there are good prospects in the sphere of Belarus-China military cooperation.
