Belarus-China relations viewed as mutually beneficial

MINSK, 9 November (BelTA) – The Belarusian-Chinese relations are mutually beneficial, Belarus’ Deputy Economy Minister Alexander Yaroshenko said at the opening of the second exhibition Goods from China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in Minsk on 9 November, BelTA has learned.

Alexander Yaroshenko emphasized the importance of trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and China which have recently entered a new high level.

According to the Deputy Minister, close contacts between the leaders of the two states contribute to closer bilateral cooperation. Common principles of the foreign policy and views on the international agenda make the foundation for the development of bilateral cooperation.

“Belarus has actively supported the implementation of China’s One Belt, One Road concept. Our country will do its best to maintain China as Belarus’ good friend in the future. I view it as symbolic that Belarus was the Guest of Honor at the 5th China-Eurasia Expo which was held in Urumqi, China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The current exposition in Minsk is held as part of the agreements reached with China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region,” said Alexander Yaroshenko.

Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vyacheslav Bril stressed for his part that the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry places special emphasis on the development of contacts with Chinese partners and organizes a lot of Belarusian-Chinese events.
