Belarus, China reach highest level of political dialogue

MINSK, 3 September (BelTA) – Belarus and China have reached the highest level of political dialogue, Chairperson of the Council of the Republic Natalya Kochanova said during a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Belarus Xie Xiaoyong as he is completing his diplomatic mission, BelTA has learned.

“I would like to emphasize once again that we are proud of and cherish the friendship between Belarus and China. Certainly, it is largely the merit of our countries' leaders – Aleksandr Lukashenko and Xi Jinping. Thanks to their persistent approach to strengthening ties, our relations have reached the level of an all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership. We are very happy about the highest level of our political dialogue. As Aleksandr Grigorievich [Lukashenko] pointed out, we would like to see our economic relations at the same level,” Natalya Kochanova said.

Belarus' parliamentary delegation led by Natalya Kochanova paid an official visit to the People's Republic of China in May. “I must say that I am delighted with China,” the speaker remarked. “We, the parliamentarians, will do everything to ensure the effective implementation of the agreements that exist between our presidents.”
