Belarus, China discuss cooperation in sport

MINSK, 16 December (BelTA) – Belarus-China cooperation was discussed by Belarus’ Sport and Tourism Minister Sergei Kovalchuk and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Belarus Xie Xiaoyong on 16 December, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Sport and Tourism Ministry.

“The parties discussed topical issues of Belarusian-Chinese cooperation, including the Winter Olympics in Beijing, prospects of joint training of athletes for the world competitions and visits to sports facilities. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Sport and Tourism Minister Aleksandr Baraulya, Director of the National Research Center of Sports Irina Malevanaya and Director of the Winter Sports Center Raubichi Aleksandr Gagiyev,” the ministry said.
