MINSK, 14 April (BelTA) – Belarus and China have discussed interaction in fighting against the COVID-19 virus, representatives of the Belarusian embassy in Beijing told BelTA.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to China Nikolai Snopkov had a videoconference meeting with Deputy Director of the Protocol Department of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Li Anrong. The sides discussed matters of bilateral cooperation. Close attention was paid to Belarus-China interaction in fighting against the new coronavirus.
Li Anrong spoke highly of the development of the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone. She described the project as exemplary. She thanked the Belarusian embassy for joining China’s mourning on 4 April.
As for Belarus-China interaction in overcoming COVID-19, Li Anrong stressed that Belarusian-Chinese relations will reach brand new heights through trials of the virus.
In turn, Nikolai Snopkov thanked Li Anrong for the appreciation of Belarus-China cooperation. The ambassador mentioned that the readiness of the Chinese side to grant gratuitous aid to Belarus for the sake of fighting the coronavirus represents another testimony of “the iron brotherhood” between the two countries.
