MINSK, 6 May (BelTA) - The Central Election Commission of Belarus took part in an online symposium organized by the Association of European Election Officials (ACEEEO), BelTA learned from the CEC website.
The symposium focused on the preparation and conduct of election campaigns amids the pandemic, the Central Electoral Commission informed.
A representative of the Republic of Korea, which held the parliamentary elections on 15 April, spoke about the sanitary measures during the electoral procedures. A Polish colleague touched on the issues related to the country's decision to hold the presidential election by postal voting on 10 May.
The online symposium was attended by 80 representatives of international organizations, electoral bodies, non-governmental organizations and universities.
As it has been reported, Belarus will set the date of the upcoming presidential election in the near future. The campaign should be held in the summer, the deadline is the end of August.
