MINSK, 29 November (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to the Kingdom of Belgium Alexander Mikhnevich met with President of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives Siegfried Bracke in Brussels to discuss prospects for intensification of the interparliamentary cooperation between Belarus and Belgium, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The parties discussed the current state of the relations between Belarus and the European Union and the development of cooperation in the Eurasian Economic Union. Special attention was paid to the prospects for intensification of the interparliamentary cooperation between the two countries.

Alexander Mikhnevich briefed Siegfried Bracke about the recent parliamentary elections in Belarus and the progress achieved in improving Belarus' election legislation in line with the OSCE/ODIHR recommendations.
